Letting Go of Perfectionism

  • Center Peace 2609 Crooks Rd Troy United States (map)

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or lacquer mixed with powdered metals. Instead of hiding the cracks, it highlights them, turning the damage into part of the piece’s beauty.

The idea behind it is that something broken can become even more beautiful because of its history—it's a celebration of flaws and imperfections. It's also seen as a metaphor for healing and embracing the things that make us unique.

This event is designed to help release the need to be perfect and embrace self-compassion. Through meditation and journaling and our own modified kintsugi project, we will explore how perfectionism manifests in our lives, identify its root causes, and shift toward a more balanced, forgiving mindset.

In the end we want you to leave feeling lighter, more accepting of your imperfections, and empowered to pursue your goals without the pressure of perfection.
